Gotta love new product

Just a quick reminder, Crafty is open today (Sunday) from 10 am - 2 pm. We will probably be open another Sunday or so before Christmas so watch this space for more details.
I wanted to give everyone a heads up on what has come in this week. We may be getting to the final countdown to Christmas but new product is still pouring in!
This Art Impressions deer stamp is great for Christmas cards but works well with Stampscapes scenes as well.

These super thin strong magnets are amazing for closing tabs on mini albums

This is a new die for us. I think it would look amazing cut out of mirror cardstock

I am loving this glass glitter. I am hoping I have some time to play with it at the store today.

Love love this paper line. It is called Forever Green by Prima and I am working on  a class with it.
Crafty's new Crafty Buyer card went into effect yesterday so be sure to ask about it next time you are in the store.

What's Shaking?

I made this cute card today after I demoed the Scrapbook Adhesives adhesive sheets designed to be used with dies so that the back of the die is covered in adhesive another alternative to the glue pens and dot tape runners. Seemed to work OK and was definitely easy to cut with my Big Shot. I used the Memory Box die Frostyville Border.  Here is a video on other things you can do with it.
I had this Stampendous PenPattern Penguin already colored up with my Tombow Markers (on Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock) so the card was pretty quick to do. I fussy cut out my penguin and put him on an Action Wobble so he dances whenever the card is moved. I stamped a Penny Black sentiment with white embossing powder. I added some Warm Highlight Glitter Ritz glitter to the snow and the penguin's scarf and some Snow Writer for the penguin to stand on. Such a fun card if I do say myself!

Happy birthday Kathy!

Crafty Capers "Monday gal" Kathy is celebrating her 65th birthday today! I stayed late at work last night to get her card made and this is what I came up with (my original plan involved dancing girls and coloring but the card turned into this). I used  Sticky Back canvas as by base, matted onto black cardstock. I used BoBunny paper, TCW stencil, Tim Holtz stencils, Distress paint, gesso, Distress Ink, Imagine Crafts gel medium and Gelatos to achieve the background. The poppy is a die cut colored with Chameleon markers and the sentiment is a rub on by Kaisercraft.
Happy birthday Kathy! May you enjoy many more but don't even think about retiring! :)

Pretty Poinsettia - Chameleon markers!

I bought myself a set of the new alcohol Chameleon markers a week or so back and have been taking them home with me to play with. I normally don't craft at home so you know I was excited about these! I got to play with these markers when I was at CHA in January and really loved them then and I love them even more now! Here is my first completed card with them. Very happy with it and I only used 3 markers! I cut out the poinsettia after I colored it and added Diamond Stickles along the edges for some bling. Watch for more samples soon. I am excited to say Crafty Capers is the first retailer on Vancouver Island to carry these fabulous new markers and we have a great selection in stock now but they are selling quickly. The Crafty Capers November demo is going to feature Chameleon markers. The demo runs Saturday Nov 15 10:30 am - 12:30 pm. It is drop in and free. No need to preregister.
Supplies: Chameleon markers, Stampendous Poinsettia duo stamp, MME pattern paper, Bazzill cardstock, Diamond Stickles & ribbon by Viviant.
