A sunny morning

We have been having some great springlike weather here on Vancouver Island. I am spending most of my spare time getting veggies planted and weed weeded!
This card is perfect for the weather we have been having! Pretty simple card. I used the Memory Box Modern landscape die with 2 different papers that match the BoBunny designer paper. I thought the card looked a bit plain so I sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink on glossy cardstock to make the sun rays.
I am pretty happy with how this one turned out! Hope everyone is having a great week!

Charlotte's dream

I was doing a bit of tidying up over the weekend and found a 6.5x6.5 Kaisercraft Charolotte's dream paper pack. I thought I would make up a card using some of the left over paper bits.
This paper line is so soft and pretty it was a lot of fun to work with. I think this paper would be great for Mother's Day cards as well and, in fact, has some Mom die cut embellishments included with the paper pack. The Hero Arts sentiment used on this card was embossed with Crafty Capers Teddy Bear embossing powder.
Just a reminder today (Tuesday) is the "last call" for registering for the Crafty Capers Cards for Cancer event this Friday and Saturday. Contact the store to register. For more information check out the Crafty Capers website.

My cup of tea

One final, Peel Off demo card. This teapot was colored with Tombow markers (062, 452, 925, 476 & N00) then cut out by hand. I matted it on a square Spellbinder die then onto a Spellbinder Lacy Square die. I threaded some May Arts ribbon through the lacy holes then matted everything as shown. The Happy Birthday sentiment is another Peel Off.
Thanks everyone for stopping  by!

Happy Birthday!

A close girlfriend had a birthday this past week. Here is the card I made her.
The paper is by Echo Park "hello spring" line. I made the medallion using the Tim Holtz die, I have been using that die quite a bit lately. My friend feels a card is not complete unless some glitter paper has been used so I had to add something glittery and I did that by adding a glittery frame around the medallion using a Spellbinder die from the Twisted Tags and Accents set. The sentiment is by Hero Arts and stamped in Memento Rose Bud ink (been using that a lot lately as well!). All card supplies are available at Crafty Capers as usual.
Thanks everyone for stopping by, oh, and Happy Birthday Linda! :)

Fancy Pants, Distress Inks and Artbin Spellbinder storage cases New arrivals

Lots of new arrivals yesterday including Fancy Pants new paper line called Park Bench. Nice springy colors - yellow and turquoise. We sold quite a bit of it yesterday afternoon. Also back in stock a big batch of Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads and (new in stock) Distress Stains. The Free May Saturday Demo (May 11) will be featuring Distress Stains. The Artbin Spellbinder storage cases and magnetic refills are also back in stock. These very popular cases will be sold out shortly I am sure. Fiskars Stamp Presses (the block that Kathy used in her Distress classes and I used in my heat embossing demo) are in stock now. Got some other bit and bobs as well such as Sakura Quickie Glue Pens, Sakura Glaze pen sets (I will be using these in my Peel Off demo next Saturday) and Buttercup Liquid Pearls (more colors to follow shortly).
I custom ordered in a batch of Twinkling H20s for a couple of customers and had some other customers interested in them so if you would like me to order you some let me know sooner rather than later.

Just a reminder Crafty Capers is having a Cards for Cancer fundraiser on April 26 & 27. Details on the Crafty Capers website. Classes are nearly all sold out so if you were waiting to register - stop doing that!! :)
Hope everyone is having a great week!

I blame Joyce...

I had a customer (we'll call her Joyce B) who was mentioning that she was having loads of fun playing with the new Spellbinder 3D embossing folders with mirror paper and Vivadecor 3D stamp paint. I don't own any 3D stamp paint so THAT got me thinking that maybe a Ranger paint dauber would look cool.
I embossed the sea shell Spellbinder 3d embossing folder with some silver glossy cardstock then I used my gold paint dauber (love my paint daubers!!!) and swiped the paint over the raised areas. I tried my best to keep the large shell free of paint. I added a strip of Teresa Colins Far and Away map paper, a black Peel Off sticker, a fussy cut shell from another bit of silver cardstock and some May Arts Jute twine.
Pretty happy with how this turned out. Thanks Joyce (and Cathy C too!) for the inspiration!
