My little ladybug!

Here is another card I made a few weeks back and did not have time to post. It is very quick and simple to make and uses just a few products!
The ladybugs are Little B stickers, the red polka dot tape is also by Little B. Sentiment is by Hero Arts, stamped with appropriately named Memento Ladybug ink, and the little heart is a leftover bit from an Impression Obsession peacock feather die!
I used my Spellbinder circle dies to cut my circle on the front of the card and my Stardust pens to add some dots around the opening.
Thanks everyone for stopping by!

SLC recap

Day 3 and 4 have been very busy. We finished up with our classes and vendor presentations and headed off to the trade show part of the trip. The last day and a half have been very busy because trade shows are where you place your orders. We had a head start because we had seen samples or done classes with the new product ahead of time. We had a great time getting to know many of the vendors and even had 1 vendor offer to be our tour guide and another offered to ship our stuff home for us. Below are some great samples of new product we say and some of the people we met.
More new Authentique paper at the warehouse

I think this Echo Park die will be popular

Marilyn and I managed to get a private demo of Finnabair's new products by Anna herself!

How cute are these hegies from Lawn Fawn - love the saying! Of course, it is on order!

Jenn Sharkus taught us a Lawn Fawn class. She is holding 2 of her cards.

Marilyn and I are having a debate - which is cuter the above monster set or the bunny set?? I say Monsters!

Cute new House Mouse - I must confess I might have spent more than I should at the Stampendous booth

Day 2 SLC highlights

Day 2 (Tuesday) was such a fun day. We got to tour the headquarters of Hazel and Ruby, Teresa Collins, My Minds Eye, BoBunny & Simple Stories. Then our fabulous bus driver took the scenic route back to the hotel so we could see some Salt Lake City sights since we have been locked in the hotel for the past 3 days, ok I lied we did walk 3 blocks to another hotel this afternoon for the trade show portion of the trip. Day 2 of that is tomorrow (8 am start).
This is the new Bo Bunny chevron Double Dot paper line - love the colors!

a couple of samples from Simple stories

Oodles of BoBunny ribbon in their warehouse!
A My Minds Eye display in their offices.

Something I did not know but Teresa Collins, My Mind's Eye and Hazel and Ruby all share office space. We got a class with Teresa.

We stopped by Authentique and had lunch with them. Here is Marilyn doing the new Faith paper line make and takes. Faith paper is on order!

This is Bret, owner of Authentique, and the real boss of Authentique, Coco the pug!

BoBunny went to a lot of trouble to give us a great tour. They sent out a tour guide to guide us round and gave us loud vacation shirts, lays, and sexy sun visors! Here is our tour guide.

This is Jan, the gal who started Bo Bunny showing us a gorgeous new line called Madeline - it's on order!!

Authentique Faith 6x6 paper pads just sitting in the warehouse waiting to be shipped to stores.

Got a tour of Hazel and Ruby a great newish company that specializes in items to personalize home decor. This canvas was done by them. We have some of their stuff on order! Watch for a demo late September on these great new products!
Here we are on the bus along with Bret (Authentique), who was pretending to be a rock star!
Day 3 and 4 photos to follow!

Not much time for blogging and technical difficulties

I know I promised to blog about the retailer event at Salt Lake City this week however we have been running since we got here. 12+ hour days and then diva like internet. I have a few photos to post from day 1 I am waiting for my phone to sent my photos from day two to my Dropbox folder so I can get them blogged. Stupid slow internet!! We had 3 workshops - 1 mixed media (great class!), 1 Fancy Pants card and layout class and 1 Graphic 45 shadow box class. We also had a bunch of vendor presentations highlighting all their new fall product and some of their great older product too.
Definitely the highlight of the day for me was the mixed media class taught by Michelle McCosh. We will be teaching this class in the store in August.

We got a presentation by Queen and Co. they are selling these cute (empty) boxes to store your washi tape in.

This sticker was on our Fancy Pants class kit! Love it!

Sizzix gave us a quick highlight of the upcoming new products. Here is a Sizzix presenter giving us boxes of "happy" aka salt water taffy. Love this cupcake box die! I hope I can get my sample home unsquished.

my class kit from the Graphic 45 class. Stop by the store to see the finished project provided, of course, I can get that home unsquished.
Here is hoping my photos arrive in my Dropbox shortly so I can get day 2 blogged which was waaaaay too much fun! Thanks everyone for stopping by and feel free to leave comments on new product you like or don't like.

Luxe Poinsettia

Another quick Christmas card to share featuring the new Memory Box Luxe Poinsettia Outline and Background dies. As soon as I saw the detail on the outline stamp I loved it! I cut this particular one out of red velvet paper for some extra dimension. The pattern paper including the Joy sentiment is from Echo Park 'Tis the Season line. The white paper is white vellum I embossed using a Sizzix embossing folder. The red gems are Metallic Decor by Hero Arts.
Thanks everyone for stopping by.

Christmas in July

Well it certainly has been busy around the store. We have started with the store's Christmas ordering and new Christmas/Fall stock will be arriving in the next few weeks and in fact, I am off to Salt Lake City shortly to attend a special retailer training event for 4 days. I will be just one of 3 retailers from Canada attending the seminars so I am pretty excited about that! I'll be getting sneak peaks, warehouse tours and classes with lots of the new fall paper and stamp lines so watch this space next week for some behind the scenes posts all the way from Salt Lake City!
Here is a card I whipped up a few weeks back with some new Memory Box dies. I used Bristol Snowflake (cut out of silver mirror card) and Merry Christmas background die (cut out of Bazzill bling cardstock). I had a strip of American Crafts silver glitter paper kicking around in my scraps and added that to the bottom Christmas word for some extra emphasis. Simple and easy!

Thanks for a great weekend!

We had a very busy (and hot) weekend with our fab guest instructor Tobi Crawford. She taught a great Art Journal class on Saturday and a MFT card class on Sunday teaching everyone how to get the most from their markers.
Hope everyone enjoyed themselves. I know I did! Thanks again Tobi! Here are a few photos from the event.
Our lovely display of mixed media products.
