Easter Candy!

I am still playing with Easter projects and today I managed to pick up some Easter candy before work so I could make some candy holders. I am headed over to Vancouver on the weekend so thought I would make something for my niece. I began by stamping the Penny Black kitty image on watercolor cardstock then I colored him with my Tombow markers. I used my Spellbinder Labels 1 to cut out the image. I used some Stampendous Fun Flock (caramel tan latte and sunshine yellow) to add some dimension to the image on the cat stripes and the flower centers. I stamped the Penny Black sentiment on a Spellbinder oval and matted it with a matching scallop oval. I should have taken a photo of the side of this project so you can see how I did it but forgot. Inside this container I put some chocolate eggs.

Dill again

Figured since the Memory Box dill stamp was still sitting on the table I should make another card with it. I used a similar technique as yesterday's card. I inked up the dill stamp with Versamark ink then embossed it with clear embossing powder I did this a few times. I then stamped the dill stamp with Adirondack inks Aqua and Citrus. I used my Stylus wand and tips to add more color to the cardstock using Adirondack inks Aqua and Cool Peri. I stamped my Penny Black (Hedgie Friends) sentiment using Adirondack Purple surf ink then stamped the dragonflies (also by Penny Black) using Adirondack Pool ink. I matted the piece onto a piece of blue Bazzill cardstock then embossed my purple (looks pink in the photo) with a NEW Spellbinder M-Bossability embossing folder Flower Fun.

Beautiful Dill

Got a few minutes to play today between customers so decided to pull out my new Memory Box Dill stamp that (ahem) I have had a month now and not yet used! I began by inking the stamp with Versamark ink, Memento Cantaloupe and Tangello

stamped the stamp then embossed the image with
Crafty Capers clear embossing powder. I used Distress Ink Tumbled Glass to sponge around the edge of the white cardstock. I then stamped my Hero Arts sentiment with Versafine Deep Lagoon ink. I thought the piece looked a little naked my crafty friend Sharron L suggested I used my Memory Box fern stamp as a background so I tried it and it finished off the card perfectly! Love how this card turned out! I matted the card as shown using Bazzill and Coredinations cardstock.
For those of you who are big Memory Box fans just to let you know I got word that order #2 was shipped Tuesday if all goes well we should see the new dies in the store in 10 days or so.

Hooray! Finally a new blog post!

I was informed that it had been 5 days since I had last posted a card via email this morning. :) Thought I had better get that fixed so whipped up this card today. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out! I guess a little pressure sometimes does pay off. The card is a 3 panel card measuring 5.5" tall and each panel is 3.5 wide so it will fit in a "regular" sized envelope. The card is fairly self explanatory. Stamps are by Hero Arts and Basic Grey and called Life of the Party Birthday set. Polkadot paper is by My Minds Eye and pink cardstock is by Bazzill. I stamped all the images with Ranger Archival black ink. I embellished various areas with Fruit Punch and Crystal Stickles glitter glue. As always all supplies are available from Crafty Capers.

A Sparkly Easter

I whipped this card up yesterday using a sheet of Peel Off stickers, transfer tape, Be Creative tape and Glitter Ritz Microfine glitter. I put the egg stickers on scraps of Be Creative tape using a piece of transfer tape then carefully peeled off the inner bits of the stickers and applied different colors of glitter as I went. I cut out each egg and mounted them onto a scrap of pink cardstock. I edged the yellow cardstock with a Spellbinder Edgeability insert. Designer paper is a leftover from the card yesterday.  Glitter Ritz colors used: Champagne, Moss Green, Lilac Pink, White, Pumpkin Spice, Yellow, Grasshopper, Fire Red and Pink. More Hedgies!

Anyone who knows me knows I love a good Penny Black hedgie! Well here is another fellow getting ready for Easter. I bought this stamp last Easter and was excited to pull it out again this year. I used my Tombow markers to color the image on watercolor paper and cut the image apart so the hedgie and the card ended up on 2 different panels. I matted everything as shown but added some crotchet cotton that I colored with a red Tombow marker to attach the hedgie and the cart. I embellished the egg and chick with Stampendous Fun Flock and if I had been thinking I would have taken a better picture of the panel 2 of the card so you could see it. I stamped the sentiment (that comes in the hedgie set) after coloring the individual letters with the same Tombow markers I used to color the image so everything matches! I love the fun look of the multicolor letters. I must remember to do this more often! I used my Spellbinder scallop edgeability to add an edge to my designer paper by Upsy Daisy. To finish off the card I used some Hero Arts gems and a Martha Stewart butterfly punch.
