Art Impressions New Arrivals

The Art Impression order I placed at the CHA trade show in January arrived yesterday. Lots of great stamps are in this order. Here are just a few of the new arrivals. Stop by soon for best selection.

Time for the snow to go!

Well no more snow days, Crafty Capers is back up and running! We are open regular hours 9:30 - 4:30 today and I suspect we may even get a box or 2 of new product if we are lucky! :)

Here is a card I created with "leftovers" from my Distress Ink demo on Saturday. The papers are edged in Gathered Twig Distress Ink and the clock is done with a technique called faux enamel. The pattern paper is all by Authentique. I am loving all their new papers! Stop by soon to check them out!

Another Snow Day

Crafty Capers will remain closed today (Tuesday) due to waaaaay too much snow in Nanaimo. We should be open tomorrow as they are calling for above freezing temps today.
Once again the Nanaimo folks will laugh at me but here is the view of my backyard this morning. :)

Simplicity!

Thanks to everyone who braved the snow on Saturday and stopped by for the Distress Ink demo. Here is a sample of 2 techniques I demoed. The butterfly is colored with my waterbrush and Distress Inks (Milled Lavender, Shabby Shutters, Wild Honey). I chose to use black and white printed paper from Authentique Classique: Elegant "six" line. The panel with the saying is also from the Authentique Classique: Elegant line. The chipboard swirls were colored with Peeled Paint Distress ink and are from Fab Scraps. The butterfly die is from Memory Box. I added some highlight to the butterfly with some Waterfall Stickles glitter glue.
It is has been a crazy weather day however while I was lounging at home my supplier were busy packing boxes. 2 more orders were shipped today and we have at least 2 more orders "out there" in transit plus the order my BFF Linda (and Carley boxer) picked up today for delivery on Saturday. It will be busy once I get back to work!
Just a reminder, Crafty Capers BIG Graphic 45 card box class is this Saturday. It runs 9:15 - 4:15 and we still have space. More details can be seen at our classes page.

Snow Day!

Well looks like Mother Nature is playing a cruel trick on us over the weekend by giving us snow! Yuck! Crafty Capers will be closed today but if all goes well we will be open regular hours tomorrow. Pull out the dog sleds everyone or just stay indoors and craft, your choice!
I know the Nanaimo folks will laugh at me but here is the view of my back yard this morning.

 The police are advising people to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. Please heed their advice and stay safe!

Botanical Tea paper

Part of our CHA Graphic 45 order arrived today. Paper from the Botanical Tea, By the Sea and Couture lines. We also got some Botanical Tea stamp sets as well. Brand New Penny Black!

Another exciting day here at the store when, Wayne, our delivery man showed up with a big box from Penny Black! This was an order we did at the big CHA retailer show last month and to be honest I don't really remember what the heck I ordered! Turns out it was a lot! I had to quickly revamp the store to give all the new Penny Black stickers, dies and stamps their own wall! The stickers were flying out the door this afternoon - guess I did good on that part of the order!

Open House recap
