I've been so busy lately prepping for public and private classes not to mention having 2 days off (gasp!) in the past week. Utter madness! :) I managed to get a bit of play time in over the weekend.
I've been wanting to get my hands on some Stampscapes stamps for a while now and have had this scene idea in my head for a couple of months. I live in a rural area and as I was driving to work one sunny morning I suddenly noticed how beautiful the sun was filtered through all the trees. I live in a beautiful place!! I need to appreciate it more.
I began this scene by stamping Stampscapes stamps:
241E Shagbark Hickory sm
289D Fence
293C Old Fence
145F Curvilinear Path
030C Fir tree
150E Pine Row with Ranger Archival Black ink on Crafty Capers glossy cardstock.
I overstamped the Pine Row and 251C Sedge Filler with green dye inks (Ranger Adirondack). I used my Stylus wands to tap in ink colors Aqua, Latte and Espresso. I used my Meadow dye ink to add some green to my Shagbark tree.
I added Fern (102A), Cattails (017D), Buck (008A) to fill in some gaps in my scene. I added some light rays with Versamagic Cloud White ink then added some yellow to highlight the rays. I finished off the card by adding some Diamond Stickles to add some sparkle.
Hope you find the scene as peaceful as I do. Thanks for stopping by!
