New Stampscapes arrived late last week and I found some time to play. I am teaching a Summer Stampscapes class a few times over the summer so need to keep my Stampscapes skills up!
A friend sent me a wildlife slide show a few weeks back and one of the scenes of a doe in a misty forest really stuck with me so I have tried to recreate it using my stamps. Really happy with how this turned out!
I have been getting up early the past few months to water the garden before work and this sort of scene is what I see then except, thankfully, the deer are in the neighbour's yard not mine! My fence is a bit more secure than this one to keep the little buggers out! LOL
Stamps used: Stampscapes Doe, Buck, Leafy Branch, Meadow, Old fence, Sedge Filler, Foliage & Pine Tree.
Inks used: Archival Coffee, Memento Tuxedo Black & Rose Bud, Distress Weathered Wood & Brillance Moonlight White (lots of this one!)

Peel Off Poppies & Glitter Ritz
I have been doing quite a bit with Glitter Ritz over the past few weeks. Here is one one of my projects I started during my recent Glitter Ritz demo and made into a card. BTW the glitter demo will be repeated again on Wednesday Sept 11 (1:00 -3:00 pm) for those who missed it the first time round.
For this card I used Warm Highlight Glitter Ritz with a Elizabeth Craft Peel Off and then it was colored with Sakura Glaze Pens. The swirls are a Memory Box tree die (yes, no kidding!). The chevron embossing folder is by Sizzix and the sentiment is by Stampendous.
Hope everyone is having a great summer! It has been a very busy one for me so far but that is OK!

Glitter Demo this Saturday
Here is another card done with glitter for my upcoming glitter demo on Saturday. Again a simple card using just 1 Stampendous stamp, one of my favourites, Agapanthus Cluster. You can't see the glitter in this sample so you will just have to stop by in person to see it.
Dies used are by Memory Box. Stamp by Stampendous, Embossing folder by Crafts Too. Pattern paper is by Fancy Pants (I believe).
Hope to see you Saturday (10:30 - 12:30 - Free!)

Playing with Glitter
Crafty Capers is having a Glitter Ritz demo next Saturday (July 13 10:30 - 12:30) so I have been playing with glitter quite a bit over the past week or so. It is always fun to work on the projects for these demos because, usually, they are techniques I have not done in a while so it is always nice to get out my notes and have a review!
Here is a card I got made up using the Burnished Velvet technique. The card came together quickly and looks pretty darn impressive if I do say so myself. All glitter used on this card is Glitter Ritz glitter (Microfine Stardust & Cool Highlight plus Ultrafine Cool Highlight and Ice Blue). The tree dies are by Dee's (Christmas Tree Silhouette and Christmas Tree #1). The star die is by Memory Box. Pattern paper by Hero Arts. Silver mirror paper by Paper Cut.
Hope to see everyone at the demo next Saturday! And yes, it did seem weird working on a Christmas card in the middle of a heatwave!

Just Playing!
I bought a couple of Dylusions spray inks last week. The store has been carrying Dylusions for a few months or so now and I wanted to see what the fuss was all about. I bought 4 colors (Black Marble, Cut Grass, Fresh Lime & Lemon Zest) for this card I used Black Marble, Lemon Zest & Cut Grass.
I began this card by stamping my Penny Black "Letter Background" stamp with Black Archival ink on watercolor cardstock. I sprayed my cardstock with water then sprayed Black Marble an Cut Grass inks. I blotted off the excess ink and let the cardstock dry. I then stamped Penny Black stamp "sundial" I removed some of the ink spray by using my Niji waterbrush inside the Sundial areas to create a faux bleach look. I dropped a couple of drops of the Lemon Zest ink onto my Ranger Craft Sheet and colored the flowers with the yellow ink to give it a bit more pop. I stamped a Memory Box stamp (Fern Print) with my Brillance Moonlight white ink. I finished the card by stamping a Penny Black sentiment matted onto a piece of Bazzill cardstock. REALLY happy with how this first attempt at Dylusions inks turned out!
Thanks everyone for stopping by!
